My new installation opens tonight from 5.30 @ the Uniting Church Launceston as part of Unconscious Collective's project Crossing .

Last day to see Bellow, my new installation work for automated organ and electronics, inspired by wet caves. Drops of water trigger sensors to create patterns of sound and light and over the course of the festival build the structure of the work, drip by drip. Showing as part of Ten Days on the Island @ Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Westbury.

also, bit out of the loop but just found out The Horse - the saxophone concerto I composed / built / made for Benjamin Price has also been nominated for a Green Room award! Huge thanks to everyone involved - The Eureka Ensemble Emily Sheppard & Rob Manley , Giorgia Stefania , Nick Haywood, SAC, Next Wave Festival and of course Ben for his patience and long-suffering !

Looks like I will be spending 1 month down a cave at Mole Creek next year, working on a new show for planetarium ! Thanks to Arts Tas for supporting this, as well as supporting Grave Listening, a new song cycle by David Young, Margaret Cameron and myself.

Sam Routledge and I have taken home the Like HyPe audience award at this years Junction Arts Festival! Look out for a new work for car wash this time next year.

28/09/2013 The Song Company's will present the MODART program this afternoon in Canberra 3pm @ Center for Christianity.

The Song Company, directed by the incredible Roland Peelman will perform 9 exciting world premieres tonight as part of the MODART Composer Forum 2013. The program includes 2 of my pieces "La Musica Callada" and "3 haiku - for children's choir" . 7pm @ Sydney Grammar School.

4/12/2012 Beginning a 'choose your own adventure residency/mentorship with the hybrid art organisation Aphids. Throughout December we will be working on the project "Trouble in Paradise".

Very grateful and excited to have received a grant from Arts Tasmania which will allow me to travel to Melbourne in late 2013 to work with Chamber Made Opera! I will work alongside the company as they put on one of their 'living room operas' and concurrently develop my own site specific work under the guidance of Chamber Made Opera's artistic director David Young.

Have been selected to participate in the Song Company's MODART composer's forum for 2013! As part of this process I will compose a new piece for a cappella ensemble inspired by wheelbarrow sounds.

6/11/2012 My application to the A.I.R program was successful - Throughout Febuary & March 2013 I will be Artist in Residence at Launceston College. During this time I will develop new instruments.

Beginning a one month creative development with Jane Longhurst on a site specific work called: 'The Green Room’. For this project I am working on a score that will be generated in real-time and realized by live musicians.

My new opera (stqrchild) is to be part of the 2013 MONA FOMA festival!
